Exploding Flag Quilt Class
Meet The Exploding Flag – A Great Take on the Exploding Heart!
Welcome to this new quilt. This is an expanded technique class for the half square triangle. The Carpenter’s Star used half square triangles, and this quilt uses half square triangles and combination units and hourglass units. The base unit for the hourglass and combination units is the half square triangle. We are expanding our knowledge!
This quilt is a bit more work and there is homework but as always, work at your pace and enjoy the process. There are 2 sessions offered and I will be there to help; the shop can help as well if problems arise. As always, bring sewing supplies—thread, rotary cutter, pins, scissors, seam ripper, marking pen that can be removed easily, magic quilters wand, and your machine if you prefer. Helpful things include a turning cutting mat, and the Tucker Trimmer I (the shop has these I believe) or a 6” square from creative grid, or whatever you prefer and the Block Lock. Having your fabric starched and cut is great as then we can get right into making the blocks.
I do require that you have a working knowledge of your machine and cutting, whichever you bring as we will not have time to learn that.
If you have any questions, call the shop or text me, Cheryl, at 417-388-0876
